To introduce and practice TA Direct and Inverse paradigm and new concepts in the Cree language by practicing various language functions (ex. benefactive ‘maw’, reflexives, ‘mâso/iso’, relational suffix ‘wîci____m/wît_____m), subjunctive TA, and to understand and to then be understood as a second language adult learner.
Set I, II and III will be utilized – the entire set of the TA Paradigm
Materials: Let’s keep speaking Cree by Solomon Ratt (we will be choosing verbs from here or verbs of participant’s choice)
Please note: This is not a beginner class prior Cree language basics in required.
Format: one hour class online via Zoom
15 min set aside for introductions and review, 45 min for class time instruction on Zoom. Classes will be recorded and sent weekly. If one class is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, a week will be added to the 10 week schedule.
Registration Fee: Free - limited - 25 spots available
Certificate of completion will be given for 100% attendance.
